Casa-nova: Italian Restaurant & Bar is a relaxing little joint overlooking the beautiful Lake Macquarie in New South Wales, Australia. It is owned by Chakra Ghimire, who has also worked extensively throughout Australia including head chef for Crinitis: Italian Restaurant, at Kotara and Darling Harbour. Chakra's mission is to create an environment where people can relax and enjoy their moments, whatever their occasion - be it coffee with friends, business meetings, quick catch-ups or a long lunch. Our vision is to make this little place the best spot for dining in the Newcastle area. All of our pastas at Casa-nova are cooked from scratch. We make our own ravioli and gnocchi, we serve veal saltimbocca as well as a range of Italian food, tapas, seafood, steak, ribs, plus hot and cold beverages with full barista/bar services including craft and tap beers, local and international wines and an extensive cocktail/mocktail list, and will serve breakfast, lunch and dinner.  Casa-nova do functions, catering and have a capacity for 100 guests. An evolving schedule of weekly events is planned including Monday pasta night, Tacos Tuesday, happy hour between 4-6pm with happy hour food menu available between 3pm and 5pm, live music each Friday, and Date Night every first Thursday of the month, where guests can enjoy a candlelight dinner and then salsa dancing.
